Installing the MegaAccel Client

Please note that the following instructions and download locations are for Meganet Customers ONLY!

System Requirements

Step 1: Download the Client that pertains to your operating system:

MegaAccel for Windows

MegaAccel for MAC

Step 2: Installing the Client
The first screen that will be presented is just a warning that Meganet Accelerator will be installed on your system. Please click next.

Step 3: The next screen is the Terms of Service and Software License Agreement. After reading if you agree, please click "Accept."

Step 4: The next screen is the Installation Options and where there program will be installed. Leave these settings as they are and click "next."

Step 5: The Client will begin installing and you will be asked to restart your computer. Click the "Restart Now" button and then you will be prompted again about the restart. Click the "OK" button to continue with the reboot.

Step 6: Once your computer has restarted, go ahead and connect to the internet as you normally do. Then follow step 7.

Step 7: Upon your computer connecting to the Internet you will notice a "Meganet Accelerator Login" box in the bottom right hand corner of your screen. In the username field please enter the same username and password that you use for dialup access.

Please Note:
If you are a former empire.net customer you must add @empire.net to your username only for the MegaAccel client. Your dialup connection can remain as is.

If you are a former ABCISP/xpres.net you must add @xpres.net or @abcisp.net to your username only for the MegaAccel client. Your dialup connection can remain as is.

If you are a Meganet Customer you do not need to add anything to your username when entering the login information into the MegaAccel client.

Step 8: Once you have enter the correct login information you are all set and ready to begin using MegaAccel. You may notice that a window will have popped up explaining how to reach the MegaAccel options so that you can tweak the performance level of MegaAccel. Feel free to change the Acceleration level to find the setting that works for you.

Due to the large volume of calls generated by MegaAccel we prefer that you use the form and you will helped in a timely fashion.
